We start our journey in the wonderful little fishing port in the middle of Caorle at 8 a.m. We make our way past various little fishing –boats out of the harbour and cross the “Canale dell’Orologio” to reach the open sea. The wind is warm, you can smell the sea. We pass the embankments of Eraclea, Jesolo and Cavallino … having a wonderful view – the old and proud palaces of Venice … Our destination is St Marco where we leave the boat at the “Riva degli Schiavoni”. Now we have time to explore Venice – its narrow lanes and alleyways, the little so-called “Campi”.
